Yesterday was a huge success for my husband - he started walking again!

He took a total of eight steps with 100% assistance from three physical therapists, a set of crutches, and a gate belt. Then he did four up-downs, which is essentially practicing maneuvering crutches to get up and down from a seated position.

And then he took four more steps. This time, they were providing minimal support for guidance.

It was a huge day for us, and I know he is feeling empowered, if not exhausted. I generally like a little time to reflect on these types of events before writing, but I thought I would put it out there to share with the world.

I'll be back later, but for now, I am rejoicing that my husband was able to take his first real steps since December of last year. Hoozah!
