National Doughnut Day

Friday, June 01, 2012

Good morning! I am excited to announce that today is National Doughnut Day!

Originally created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I, National Doughnut Day takes place on the first Friday of June each year. Visit any participating US Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants on Friday, June 1st and receive a free donut with any beverage purchase. Krispy Kreme is also giving out free donuts for National Doughnut Day. (The FW)
In honor of such a deliciously fun holiday, I thought I would share my favorite pins with you. I've included the links to the recipe, so break out your mini doughnut maker and enjoy!
